Step Outside & Explore

It is that time of year when we spend wonderful days on the beach, wading through pools and shallow water, looking for creatures and beautiful seaweed.

We have started to explore a new stretch of coast recently, just beyond the local lighthouse, which has lots of potential for some exciting rockpool adventures!

Step Outside & Explore is a hand-stitched, quilted wallhanging. It is made from odds and ends of fabric, leftover from past projects; a coral linen shirt from the local charity shop; some quilt batting from the local scrapstore and threads from my stash. I have also used magazine paper to make the paper beads, and old postcards to make the sequins.

It hangs from a wooden dowel.
