South Esk – 4

Montrose is a town that is rich in history and nature. Positioned between the rivers North Esk and South Esk, and right on the coast, there is always something beautiful waiting to be found and always new walks to be explored.

One of my little walking adventures took me under the railway bridge and along the sandy banks of the river South Esk. Here the treasures are a mix of natural beauties like seashells and river pebbles, but also (because of its proximity to town), pieces of worn glass and pottery.

South Esk - 4 is a piece of pottery with worn glaze, that I have cocooned in a raffia coil basket.
