As winter slips away and spring joyfully returns, the plants outside start pushing onwards.....searching for something to hold on to, or striking boldly out on their own. There is something that connects them all and it is my connection to them too - we're all reaching for the light.
The perfect size to be held comfortably in two hands. The body of the basket has been made with raffia, that I dyed with apple bark from our garden. The tendrils of coiling that are feeling their way across the surface have been worked in raffia, dyed with creeping willow, that I gathered on one of my walks and have a flax twine core.
