As I walk along the coast I see many things echoed in each other. Colours, textures and forms are repeated over and over again.
In this piece I have cocooned three treasures found on my walks, which are some of my favourite coastal colours - brick, ivory and grey. I see them in the rocks, shells, rusted metal, fragments of ceramics and even seaweed at certain times of year, and my worktable is always full of them.
I have echoed the colour of each piece in the linen thread, that is used for one of the other baskets. Each combination working together, as they do on the shoreline.
