Cocooned Limpet – January 2

A beautiful limpet shell cocooned in its own bespoke raffia basket.

I have loved limpets for a long time. The wonderful variety of colours and patterns and their shape, so like an island or mountain, have captured my imagination over the past few years.

I have realised the need for more constants in my life and the steady, familiar work of making these little limpet baskets is perfect for those quieter days, when my creative mind needs a little restfulness.

I hope that the restfulness will be passed on with these limpets, something to enjoy in life's quiet moments.
